my name is Kelsey Burchette and this is my wife Teri we were all in the living room watching TV kind of getting ready to call it a night to head for bed Terry started smelling smoke we got up to see what was going on and we found the whole garage in blazes [Music] [Music] no I thought that it would probably have to be completely torn down and completely rebuilt but tree builders has proven themself the amazing and the work that they can do it's really gorgeous the way it all ties together it all has kind of a central theme we we really like that and as you're going through the rooms it all just seems to really tied together I like the openness of the kitchen now I love the choices and the countertops and the lighting fixtures and all the tile throughout it all blends and it's all light and airy it's not dark or it feels like there's new life we couldn't afford with a better group of people there's just I don't think there's any company out there that could match the quality of the work and the quality of the care that we receive through builders I think after a disaster like this you find yourself kind of falling and not really knowing you know you're reaching out trying to find something that you can grab on to and we were lucky enough to have found true lovers true builders that they were able to help us through this process and got us into a great position right now everything right down to the smallest detail has really been has been met and and it looks just so great because of it we know they're dedicated to the jobs they're doing and I'd tell anybody that true plumbers true builders as late ago 100% agree every little detail that we asked for in the home that you remodeled was done and then even extras in this home you've gone above and beyond to make it more beautiful than it was when we lived there and I will continue to tell people to use tree builders like I have been over the last year [Music]

A Garage Fire at Bedtime, and the Rebuild That Brought New Life
Kelsey and Teri were watching TV, getting ready to call it a night, when Teri smelled smoke. They got up to check and found the whole garage in flames. Kelsey assumed the house would have to be torn down and completely rebuilt.
Instead, the rebuilt home became something they love walking through: an opened-up kitchen, countertops and lighting and tile that carry one theme through every room, light and airy where it used to be dark. "It feels like there's new life," Kelsey says. His bottom line on the crew: he does not think any company could match the quality of the work and the quality of the care they received.
Why garages start so many house fires
Garages concentrate everything fire loves: gasoline and solvents, charging batteries, water heaters, dryers with lint, and clutter that feeds flames. A few habits cut the risk dramatically.
- Store gasoline, propane, and solvents in approved containers, away from appliances with pilot lights or heating elements
- Charge power tool and e-bike batteries on a hard surface, not against boxes, and unplug when full
- Keep the dryer vent clear and the area around the water heater open
- Put a smoke detector in or adjacent to the garage and a fire extinguisher by the house door
Smoke travels farther than flame
A fire contained to one room rarely means damage contained to one room. Smoke rides the air handler and the gaps in framing into rooms that never saw flame, leaving acidic soot on walls, in ducts, and inside cabinets. That is why an honest fire scope often includes cleaning, sealing, and repainting areas far from the burn, and why a rebuild like this one ends up refreshing the whole interior. If a fire estimate only covers the burned room, it is not thorough, it is cheap.
