um Adrienne Holliday from Tampa Florida we initially called to plumbers because we thought we had what we thought was a simple leak and once the guys came out to take a look at the leak it turned out to be a major insurance claim so right from the very beginning we just had water damage everywhere and so as a result we they assisted us with the process from calling the insurance company all the way down to lining things up the process was relatively simple everyone that we had an opportunity to work with from the p.m. all the way down to the guys that did the work were courteous very professional um timely they did the things that they said they were going to do and it was just a joy to work with everybody on the team um one of the things that I really really liked about working with the company was just I guess ease abuse they did a lot of the little things that I didn't know about and just um took a lot of the stress off or the hassle off my plate like dealing with my insurance company or or dealing with our financial institution for a mortgage so that was great what I liked the most about our bathroom is just um I guess the the quality of work so you see horror stories all the time about people paying for something and not getting what they paid for so I think we got that and a whole lot more and we initially were just gonna get the the shower replace but then I got to talking to Erin and we were saying you know what is that you're gonna be fixing the shower you know why not just take this opportunity and let's do the whole thing because how often do you get to remodel a bathroom so we just decided to go ahead and do everything at once so in addition to getting the shower done which was the initial plan we got the cabinet's replaced we got the floors redone and change the color in the bathroom I am a true believer and you and you get what you pay for you're not the most expensive you're not the cheapest but if you want a quality end product then I would definitely recommend you we have some other stuff in the bathroom that we'd like to get done a little later in the year and we will definitely be calling true polish back to kind of complete the rest of the changes that we want to have done so I would definitely recommend you and we will definitely be using you again in the future [Music]

A Simple Leak, a Major Claim, and a Bathroom Done Right in Tampa
Adrian, in Tampa, called about what looked like a simple leak. Once the crew opened it up, it turned out to be a major insurance claim, with water damage everywhere. True handled the process end to end, from calling the insurance company to dealing with the mortgage company on the claim funds, which, as Adrian puts it, took the hassle off his plate.
The original plan was just to replace the shower, but talking it through with Aaron, the logic was hard to argue with: how often do you get to remodel a bathroom? So the project became the shower, the cabinets, the floors, and fresh paint, all at once. His review of the crew: courteous, professional, timely, and, the line every contractor should earn, "they did the things that they said they were going to do."
Why your mortgage company shows up in a big claim
On serious losses, insurance checks are often made out to both you and your mortgage lender, because the lender has a stake in the house being repaired. The lender endorses funds in stages, sometimes inspecting progress before releasing the next draw. It surprises homeowners every time, and it is paperwork a claims-experienced contractor has walked through hundreds of times. Ask up front whether your contractor will help manage insurer and lender paperwork; the answer separates restoration professionals from crews that only swing hammers.
The while-you-are-at-it rule
Adrian's shower-becomes-everything decision is the classic remodel economics lesson. Demolition, containment, tile setup, and crew mobilization are costs you pay once per project, not per item. Adding the vanity, flooring, and paint while the bathroom is already torn up costs a fraction of returning for them separately, and the finished room matches itself. The guardrail: expand scope deliberately, in writing, with each addition priced, so the project grows by choice.
