we are the horners i am lori this is my husband bob and we use true builders to do the kitchen in our house and the flooring in our entire house actually they were a referral from a friend of our daughters when when josh came out we had things in common between his children and my grandchildren and we were we kind of connected that way we didn't have to go to two different places or contract out like the floors and the kitchen so we knew it was all inclusive and we could get it done first impressions to builders team was absolutely professional friendly accommodating helpful i can't say enough about how great they were what i liked the best was i had no problem talking to the guys and say hey give me give me a little hand here just kind of like family like dealing with the with the kids and saying hey come on we're all in this together the communication was awesome this is a 23 year old house now and our room looks like the brand new kitchen open rooms with our high ceilings while it hasn't added any square footage it's added square footage to our lifestyle all the extra cabinets that i have now because of the window decker the window make being made into cabinets and just all the other cabinets because we we did all this from drawings i have recommended them we have to our to our neighbors our we've had our neighbors over um they all want the name we've given who did this yeah we've given referrals yes if we have another project we will always we'll call true builders first well we won't call anybody else actually you

The Horners' 23 Year Old Kitchen, Made New, With the Whole House Floored
Lori and Bob Horner found True Builders through a referral from a friend of their daughter's, and when Josh came out, the families clicked. The scope was the kitchen plus flooring through the entire house, and the fact that one company could do both, without contracting out the floors, is a big part of why they signed.
The whole design came from drawings, including a window deck converted into cabinets, and the communication stayed easy the whole way: "I had no problem talking to the guys," Lori says, "the communication was awesome." How to judge a design from drawings before demo
Remodeling from drawings works, as this project shows, but only if you interrogate the drawings before demolition makes them permanent.
- Walk the actual room with the plan and tape out the island, walkways, and door swings on the floor
- Check the work triangle: sink, stove, and fridge should be steps apart, not a hike
- Confirm every drawing dimension against a field measure; a half inch matters at the cabinet run's end
- Ask where the trash, the microwave, and the everyday dishes live; renderings forget real life

Continuous flooring is what makes an older home read new, and a kitchen remodel is the cheapest moment to get it.
